Communication with parents

Communication with parents is vital to us. We believe that it is important to work in partnership with parents to have clear and consistent communication so that the students benefit as much as possible from their learning, in school and at home.

We are committed to providing parents with an understanding of our school and in encouraging parents to play an active part in their child(ren)’s education.

iSAMS Parent Portal/ iParent App

The Parent Portal / iParent App offers a fantastic new way to gain quick access to your child’s school information and keep up-to-date with how well they are getting on at school. You can also read the latest school news, view our school calendar and access other helpful information.

For any assistance with the iSAMS iParent app, please feel free to reach out. If you have queries related to the iSAMS iParent app, kindly visit the reception located at the Primary School building or the designated receptions in the Secondary School for boys or girls.

Seesaw App (PRE-KG to KG2)

Seesaw is a simple way for teachers and students to record and share what’s happening in the classroom. Seesaw gives students a place to document their learning, be creative and learn how to use technology. Each student gets their journal and will add things to it, like photos, videos, drawings, or notes.

This app requires the parent to have a login (email and password) and is specific to your child(rens)’s class. Parents with more than one child in the school can track using one set of login details as multiple classes can be accessed.  We encourage parents to ask their children about what has been posted to Seesaw daily.

Showbie App (Grade 1 – Grade 12)

Showbie combines all of the essential tools for assignments, feedback and communication in one, easy-to-use app. This is an easy-to-use app that is available for the mobile phone, iPad, laptop or PC. Teachers will share a parent code with parents so that they can connect with them.

SMS & Email

There may be times when we will send an SMS or email directly to the contact details we have saved in our back office, so it is vital that you notify of us any changes in telephone number or email address.

Newsletters

Our Director and Secondary School Principal publish monthly newsletters. We share links to these newsletters via Email or our social media channels.

Each week we also publish a Teacher Talk newsletter so that you get a little more information from our teachers across both schools.

Social Media

Ajman Academy is very active on social media channels, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. These channels.  All parents are asked for permission before sharing photos or videos of their children on social media.
