Departments: Secondary SchoolSara Augustus was born and raised in Birmingham, UK, where she completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Education for Secondary English, within the National Curriculum of England, at Birmingham City University.
Before joining Ajman Academy, Sara taught in her home city then shortly after relocated to Bahrain, where she taught for two years. Prior to moving to the Middle East, she also taught English as a Foreign language in Portugal, which ignited her passion for teaching and learning on a wider international scale.
Sara is passionate about travel and thoroughly enjoys learning about other cultures and traditions through literature, arts, culture, food and history, which she integrates into her teaching as a way of acknowledging and celebrating diversity within the classroom and the wider community.
Previous to working in education, Sara has 17 years of experience of working in a range of industries, from customer service, to educational and community charities, as well as quality assurance within higher education institutions.
As an educator, Sara strongly believes that learning should be fun, inspiring and relevant to the world that our students live in, and should encourage them to be knowledgeable, open minded and respectful global citizens. -

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Arabic Studies from Lebanese University and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Arabic Studies. She has five years of experience teaching in Lebanon and has attended many educational workshops. Soumaya also has four years experience in Dubai, at an International Baccalaureate School teaching the Primary Years Programme. During her career, she has taught Arabic language and Islamic Studies. She uses a wide range of technological teaching techniques to captivate the interest of her students. Soumaya has experience interacting with special needs students and forms good relationships with them. She thinks creatively, which helps her in finding creative teaching techniques to use with her students. Soumaya likes swimming and enjoys most of the sports.

Stephen Aladiran

Departments: Secondary SchoolStephen has 16 years of experience working as a Mathematics Teacher in the UK teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level within the UK National curriculum. He worked briefly in IT for over a year before his teaching career.
Stephen was born in Accra and has schooled in four different countries including Ghana and the UK. He holds a BSc in Mathematics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, MSc in Information Systems from the University of Sheffield and PGCE also from the University of Sheffield, UK.
He believes that students are able to achieve their best in an atmosphere of respect for all and that children deserve the very highest standard of education which results from outstanding teaching and pastoral care. He adopts an empathetic and encouraging approach to build confidence in students to help them achieve their best.
In his spare time, Stephen loves to go on walks in the country side, travel to new places, experience different cultures and spend time with his wife, family and friends. -

He has since spent nine years working at Leyton Sixth Form College as a teacher of IT and Computer Science as well as being E-Learning coordinator.
Waheed enjoys making use of technology to help facilitate learning and has overseen new initiatives such as iPads and
Google Classroom into his school. He is always looking for new ideas and enjoys helping and supporting other teachers and
students in the use of technology to help facilitate learning.
He is a passionate teacher who likes to encourage, support and motivate his students. He believes every student is unique
and has the potential to achieve their goals. He wants to keep himself up to date with his subject knowledge and the latest
technology by attending professional development days.
In his spare time, Waheed enjoys cycling, playing football and he enjoys travelling all around the world. He most recently visited Croatia and Plitvice National Park. He had the opportunity to visit Dubai once before when he brought a group of students from London on a school trip. -
Zacharias David

Departments: Secondary SchoolZach graduated with honors at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he obtained his first degree in Industrial Technical Education (BSc (Ed) Hons). He then went on to obtain his post-graduate degree in Educational Management (MA) at Brunel University London.
Zach’s aim of being a teacher is to make a positive impact in young people’s lives, having had a similar experience from one of his own teachers. Zach believes that every child - regardless of his/her cultural and social-economic background, physical or mental ability - has the potential to achieve and make progress. And making this possible for every child in a school, regardless of the background and natural ability, is the calling of any school leader. It is this belief that prompted Zach to obtain the National Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL).
Zach has worked for twenty-seven years as a teacher and school leader across a range of establishments, including a Sixth Form college, independent secondary schools, maintained schools in Africa and the United Kingdom, plus three years in the private industrial sector.
In his spare time, Zach loves to travel, read, cycle, take part in outdoor activities, and spend time with friends and family.

He moved to the UAE in 2012 as a classroom teacher and was promoted to Head of Year for Grade 5 and 6.
Zane has a passion for working with students and helping them grow in and out of the classroom. He feels that all students deserve to be listened to and teaching needs to be adapted to meet their individual requirements/interests. In his youth, he played a lot of baseball and over the last few years, turned his sporting interests to golf. He is looking forward to getting to know each student and working closely with parents to make sure each student reaches their full potential. -
